So I love my leg days, its the workout I find myself pushing my limits. There is one part of the day I hate the most, lunges. In fact, they are the excercise I only really dont like. I was wondering what other excercises could be done instead.
thanx,

theresheis, lunges are hateful things but necessary. You can do them with little weight and they will benefit you. That being said though, squats, leg extensions, leg curls are good things to do. There are movements we all like less than others. I try to substitue somthing I don't like over somthing I do because usually my weakness lies in avoiding the unpleasant.

I do lunges with a guided bar, lunges with dumbbels, static lunges, walking lunges and even jumping lunges!!!
Nothing better to shape the legs.
It hurts yes, but you get a terrific stretch in the same time. Don't stop doing something which is THAT beneficial.
Good luck!

I do my lunges first to get them over with on leg nite. I too, am not all that fond of them, but as Philia and Charlie mentioned - they are extremly beneficial

Quoting from neov3:
Philia you do static lunges? why? they are horid things.
=============
I do static lunges when I do one of my "killer" trainings...... I do TONS of repetitions and a lot of sets as well. Often I do the lunges (or squats) with a guided barbell, since after a while I get dizzy, but the guided barbell holds me up so I wont fall! (o;
