Is it bad to marinate with dressing that isn't fat free ok if bbq'ing? I would think that most of the bad stuff gets burned off.

That's an interesting question. I would assume that it would but surely not all. What are you going to be using if you don't mind me asking?

i love to marinate with italian dressing on chicken. even on steak. the regular tastes so much better then low fat for a marinade. I think I could marinate dirt with italian dressing and it would taste good.
I also like to take asparagus and make a foil wrap and fill that with italian dressing and some seasoning and bbq that. it tastes awesome, but the dressing doesn't burn off of that, so i guess i gotta go low fat.
I also love to marinade in Peter Luger steak sauce!!

Marinating adds flavor and variety, i think the amount of calories contributed probably is miniscule, and if it is an olive oil based marinade it is good fat and good for you.
