If you weigh less and can lift more, compete in some powerlifting competitions. Believe me, I wish I had your 'problem'.

Your just not eating enough period!
I have been gaining size and strength off low rep like 5,3 and 1 reps.
I didn't start to grow or get strength until I ate better.
If your strong at your size now then you'll be a badass at a heavier weight.

I would say your working your fast twitch muscles more which dont really contribute to size but strength yes,you might have more fast twitch fibers, like sFGiantsMVP said eat more protein and complex carbs, train smart and get big.

ive read about that fast vs slow twitch i work the 7-12 rep range on everything except squats and deads. i know that is the rep range for mass what are the best ways to add more slow twitch besides eating more i know the eating is the most important part.

i'd honestly find bigger issues to worry about.
Bottom line is if you want to gain more weight then keep increasing calories...period...if 3000 doesnt do it...then try 3200...too little? 3500.... not enough still? 4000.....etc
I made the best mass gains lifting in the 1-3 rep range...you can add a couple sets of 6-8 reps after your heavier lifting(1-5 reps)...
