I play in a flag football league and after yesterdays sprinting on the turf and todays run to catch my bus to work i feel a pain/weakness right above the ball of my big toe on my left foot. Doing calf raises kinda irritates it. It's not something I can't play with its just literally a pain any ideas?

Does it radiate throughout the foot? Along the side?
It may be turf toe, but doesn't sound like it. Turf toe usually presents on the bottom of the foot and around the side, not the top.

Well its on the bottom of my foot right where my big toe bends. It hurts when I'm sprinting and or jogging and on in the act of pushing off to the next stride.

Possibly turf toe. They have things you can have put in your shoe to provide support, kinda like metal orthotics. See a Dr. about it.
Or, just rest it for a while.

In my opinion (I'm not a med student or dr) it's from too heavy calf raises. This happens from the big toe being bent up too far, as we can easily do during the calf raise. Like Steve said, see a dr or sports therapist.

I generally give advice that takes that into account. I know most people don't want to see a Dr, but if I think it is advisable, I recommend seeing a Dr.
Ivan, turf toe is a strain of the tendons and ligaments on the bottom of the foot. It can often be caused, like you said, by doing calf raises incorrectly.

The fact that it went away tells us immediately that it was not turf toe.
But, be careful in the future.
