I follow a steady meal plan for hard gainers monday through friday. I feel that it is a bit much for on the weekends when i do not work out. I usually do cardio saturday or sunday, or sometimes both. I was just wondering if i should follow this plan on those days as well, because i heard the muscles need food even on the days you dont go to the gym. But i feel as if i dont follow the plan exactly how it is on those days, and just eat healthy and a good amount i should be fine. Because it is alot of food, and takes alot of time out of the day. So basically my question is: Is it ok to have a cheat day, as long as you follow a steady nutrition program during the work out days? Thanks alot...

i would recommend you do follow the plan on those days too, especially if your making gains. the recommend a very low fat diet with a fair amount of protein so this will keep you from going catabolic as long as this is under a 6 meal plan. see if it works for you, give it a good month, if not then change it up.
