Is there anything out there..free or paid..that will help me figgure out what to eat? I did the nutrients guide and see what I need to consume..and can enter foods to see what I am doing, but are there any programs out there that you can say "I need 300 grams of protien, 600 grams of carbs, etc" and it will help you develop a meal plan so you know what to eat, when to eat..I know its asking alot but the Nutrients guide on here just isnt helping me. Thanks for the help!

you can use the nutrition program on this site...just type in your information, and your goal, and it'll show you exactly what you need to consume to accomplish your goals with hard work and dedication...nothing comes easy...and I think this quote is one from bb1fit..."If something is going to come easy to you, then it isn't worth doing"
I like that quote

No one said life was easy..and the program on here tells you what you ate..but doesnt help with meals. The program on here is great for seeing what you already ate, but again not for planning a meal day and meals for a week.

I was hoping for a plan as well.A guideline to get started would be a big help.

I thought I'd bump this old thread rather than starting a new one - I was also wondering if their was anything out there... although judging from the lack of responses I am guessing not.

Encarta encyclopaedia on disk has an awsome nutrition planner that tracks complete nutrient content of foods. All you do is enter the food and portion desired and it calculates it all. Carbs, fat protien, min, vits The secret is finding it on the CD.

I am using www.fitday.com to track what I eat vs calories burned. You could use it for that day and it'll tell you the fat/carbs/protein and Calories from each. Then you could adjust it to say "ok I need to take less carbs and more protein so I'll take this off and add this", you'll eventually find the right combination.
Me I realized I wasn't getting enough protein and to much fat and carbs...mainly from the snacks I was having during the day. So I took the easy route and started doing Protein shakes (after workouts and for snacks)...at least until I learn what will give me equivalent amounts of the nutrients I need to complete my diet.
