Does anybody know what the difference is? How are they each used? And which is better for losing weight?
Thanks!

Protein shakes are simply as the name implies, protein only, or very close to it depending on the brand. MRP's are more designed as a meal, containing protein, a decent amount of carbohydrates, and maybe even some fats, plus vitamins and minerals, thus the name meal replacement powders. To use them to your best advantage, a protein shake will do you well immediately post training. MRP's will serve you well throughout the day, either as the name implies, replacing a meal, or just as nourishment in a pinch when you need some nutrition. For strictly losing weight, MRP's can be very helpful in that each is only about 250-300 calories, and can be used in place of a meal. I would not use them extensively, meaning in place of too many meals. Just one or two will do. Hope this helps.

Just noticing what you call yourself. I'm a former dancer, wondering exactly what you mean by your name.

I didn't really mean anything by it other than I love to dance. And if I'd been blessed with the body and talent of a dancer that's what I would have done. What kind of dancer were you?

I did ballet, jazz, lyrical. I was never pro, really I was just average in terms of talent-but I was so passionate about it that it didn't matter. I still using lots of dance and pointe work as part of my fitness program. I still do love to go to a good club, especially latin, and cut loose with my friends. The problem seems to be finding a man to dance with who won't step on my feet. Dancing makes me feel free and feminine, -it's so amazing!
