Right now I take 100% Whey Protein by Optimum Nutrition in the morning as soon as I wake up and I take two servings after a workout (4 days a week) I was wondering if it was better to take meal replacements or weight gainers instead of the protein or in addition to the protein shakes. I am currently trying to gain muscle mass and am on that program on FreeTrainers.

If you can get what you need from 'real food' then that is the best way to go. If your program is very high in calories and protein, then that is where your supplements and meal replacements come in. You don't want to be supplementing ALL of your meals and not eating much real food.

Trust me, I eat plent of real foods throughout the day. I was just wondering when was the time to take meal replacements, whey proteins, or weight gainers? Like which should you take pre/post workout, in the morning and at night?
