I've been having trouble getting in my recommended 184 grams of protein in a day... I can't afford protein mix/bars right now, so I'm stuck with tuna/chicken/cottagecheese type stuff.
Any other suggestions for a cheap source of protein? I find that each meal I have has about 30-40 grams of protein in the meat... that's like 5 fairly large meals.
Any suggestions on cheaper meals with lots of protein?
Even an example of meals that you guys eat in a day would be helpful just so I can get an idea of what I should be eating.
Also, a question about peanut butter... is it worth it? I see peanut butter (light even) that has a pretty decent amount of protein, but tons of fat! Is it pretty unhealthy to eat a lot of peanut butter? thanks!

Peanut butter is chock full of healthy monounsaturated fat. Keep in mind that not all fats are bad for you. Unsaturates are good, saturates are neutral to bad and trans fats are bad. Most traditional peanut butter has trans fats, so get the natural stuff. Natty PB is one of the best bulking foods available because of it's caloric density. Eat up. My PB&J's run me 600 calories a piece - and they're great!

I see on the site that 1 egg white has only 3.5 grams of protein... why am I hearing that eggs are so good for you when it only has 3.5? I'm kinda confused with eggs right now, any help!
