Which shoulderpress is your favorite? I do the military press because I always thought that it placed less strain on the neck. But not so sure if that is true. Which is better for results? Especially for the side delts? My side delts are weak and something tells me that the behind-the-neck press is better for the sides....

side raises for the side delts. check out the 'muscle targeting' section under ft exercise resources. you'll find your answers there.

Yep side raises but try with the cables. You cannot take extremely heavy but it's still quite effective to grow bigger shoulders.....

I do "behind the back" when I don't take too heavy since you're stressing your shoulders quite a bit while keeping your hands behind your neck. Military presses are good, and then you just need to do another exercise for your rear delts.
Good luck!

jawsqb: I do lateral raises in addition to my military press. I just want to know which of the two presses you'd want to do.

thanks for the tips all!

I have been doing lateral raises (side) since joining here. OMG what a difference they have made! It is incredible how wider shoulders make everything look bigger. They have worked the best for me. I also like Russian presses, seated presses with dumbells on the floor, takes the back and legs out of the equation. Standing push-presses have worked well too.
