Yep, its OK. Nice tall glass of milk and a chicken breast make a good snack before bed.

if you are drinking an 8 oz cup of non-fat or skim milk, you are only looking at 3 grams of carbs. What is that as opposed to a whole meal with 27 carbs??? i'd take the glass of milk anyday. just my thoughts...

Actually regular skim milk runs around 12g of carbs per cup because of the lactose in it. It's not going to kill you, but milk gives you a pretty solid insulin spike which you don't really want at bed time. However, I know plenty of folks that still do it occaisionally (myself included) and they didn't get fat overnight.

Id recommend Cottage cheese. Its really good b4 bed since it had Casein in it, much like milk. But theres a lot more protein in cottage cheese then in milk, because of the casein u will digest it slowly which is what u need b4 sleep since most ppl dont wake up every few hours to have a meal.

I have a serving of cottage cheese every night b4 bed.
15g protein
1g fat
6g carbs
