I am having a tough time finding what the minimum calories I can get by on while still nurturing my 4mth old son. I am just over 140lbs (fluctuate between 142-145) and 5'2". I need to kick start my body and start shedding! I have at least 20lbs of fat to shed and would love to be down 10lbs in the next month. I think if I can do that, then I will feel more confident that I can succeed. Is this a reasonable goal? My nutritional plan here says to eat like 2300 calories/day which seems super high! I keep hearing how important diet is, but I am really struggling.
Any input would be gladly appreciated.
Thanks for the link Leslie. That was a pretty good article. I figured that 1500-1800 calories would be ideal so that confirmed it for me. Now I need to sort out my menu's and get some portion control going on. ;-)
Just remember also that breast feeding takes a lot out of you, and you need to eat well and enough for you and the baby. good luck!
