I am attempting to lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks. The reason this is mission impossible/improbable is because I have low will power. I was initially attempting to lose 50 punds in 4 months. I started off decently enough, but fell off the wagon. I am getting married on 2/15/09, and I want to make a significant dent on my weight issue. Aster the wedding I plan on conintuing my efforts at weight loss until, with a goal of 60 pounds by the end of the year. That's my story, and hopefully I can stick to it.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I would be very surprised if you actually hit this goal. The best way to lose weight is actually through a controlled diet,a good strength training program, and cardio. 2 pounds a week is really good and if you multiply that by 4 it comes out to less than half of your goal. HERE'S A WARNING: If you try to lose this weight by severely restricting your calories(1000 or less a day) you WILL gain it back and probably some extra on top of that.
Fitness is the most forgiving bandwagon to get back on. Just get right back into it and don't look back.

I have to agree with returnofplex, I am also new here, but can say one thing for sure, not just the numbers will beat you. Your attitude is something stronger. It has been said "weather you think you can or cant, your right!" You must convince your subconsious that you can do this. By saying instead "I will", Plus adding something like "I like being 20lbs lighter" you subconsious will work harder to fix it to where you are 20lbs lighter. The mind is your best tool.
