This is one of my all time favorites. It may not sound good but if you love pancakes like I do but they just don't quite fit into your diet, this is a great alternative!!!

Protein Pancakes
1/2 cup plain uncooked instant oatmeal

5 egg whites (or 3 whites+1 whole) or (2 wholes+1 white)

1 tsp vanilla

2 packs of Splenda and a little cinnamon

~ Mix all this in your blender, cook in pan using Pam~

I like ta mix a lil' cinnamon and splenda and sprinkle on top of the pancakse once they're cooked along w/ some sugar free/fat free, low calorie Log Cabin syrup.

Makes about 8 or 9 thin pancakes.....
estimated~~ 350Cal. 30g. Protein 30g.Carbs 12g. Fat

Please try these, and let me know how ya like'em.

I make a protein pancake for my sweetie, I use Myoplex, with 5 egg whites and enough water for a thin consistency. They are more like crepes and they taste great. If you on a gaining diet, put a little cream on these babies and you have got yourself a treat that will make you think you are cheating.

I'm still new to working on my diet (just started working out for the 1st time 6 months ago).. I've had progress but I want to sharpen my diet for better gains so I am starting to check out the recipes. Stupid beginner question - is this 350cals for the full 'mix' you have listed? 12g fat a lot? Is that too much for someone not trying to 'bulk' or gain? I've gotta try these out!

Not a stupid question. Yes, 350 cals is for the whole recipe. This recipe makes up a large batch I always split it in half. 6g of fat seems pretty reasonable ta me.

Give'em a try.
