How does everyone find motivation and willpower? I am finally at a decent weight but I really want to kick the habit of letting myself eat sugar and chocolate whenever I want to. I get so mad at myself afterwards and I am not sure how to motivate myself.

It took me awhile to break the habit. However, if you really want to you will. First, committ yourself to not buying sugared sweets and drinks when you grocery shopping. If you don't have them, you can't eat them. While kicking the habit, snack on jello and fruits. Also, save your sweets for a cheat day or special occassion. We normally have sweets on a Sat. when we are out shopping or doing something fun. Just try not to go overboard. Soon, your tasttebuds will change and you want it. I am surprises at my self for this.
-------------- It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.

Hi there, I find myself eating for emotional reasons at times and can't control myself. I weigh about 142 and wear a size 6. My body fat is 25% and want to get leaner but there are some days when I don't care about what I put in my mouth. But at the same time, i feel like all my hard work is ruined at the gym. Did I blow it?

I give up chocolate every year for Lent and I wish that I would miss it but it makes me crave it even more. So by not having sweets around, I crave it even more and tend to pig out when I can have it. I have been eating jello and also Balance Gold bars which are just delicious. So hopefully this well help, but I just cheated and ate a mini snickers bar, not too bad, it's a start for me.
