Hi all,
I'm new here. I'm really impressed with the planned workout schedules. It makes a lot of sense.
But I still have one worry. I workout at the gym alone, having a workout partner is out of the question, because most of my friends do not practice gym-going. And the gym I go to is a facility provided by my residential management, so, most of the time I'm in the gym alone. And working out alone really kills the motivation. I've tried hard to keep focus on the training, but the silence or whatever it is just spoils the mood.
ft, is there anything I can do about it to boost my motivation to work out alone?
Thanks a lot. Cheers!

Listen to some music maybe something fast or hyped up to help you get going.. at very least it wouldn't seem 'silent' anymore..

Welcome to ft! Glad you've signed up for an ft program. Please fill out your profile and tell us more about yourself (stats, current program, diet, etc.) so that we can provide better advice later on.
I often workout alone. Music, focus, intensity and a mirror usually are enough to keep me motivated.
Good luck!

I always work out alone. It's true that sometimes it can be a little difficult since you can feel a little lonely (and nobody helps you when you are taking heavy) Other times I just feel great being able to do all the craziest things (like doing funny faces to myself in the mirror!! or posing)without having anybody to bother me. I got the music on and that helps.
Another great motivation is knowing that I have a great body comparing to all those lazy ones sitting in their couch at home doing nothing. The summer is coming and ooooh yes, I'm gonna show them my body and they'll feel a little bad about themselves.....
Just imagine and SMIIIIILE!!!!
