If he has the time to eat a "whole food" meal, it will be much better. As the supplement states, meal replacement.

I agree with bb1 100% on this one. I used to be fanatical about supplementation & even used to work in a GNC & I noticed something funny that didn't make since until recently. Back in my supplement selling days I noticed the people who bought the least amount of MRP products where the people that were in the best shape. As my knowledge & training progress I am realizing that a quality diet with whole nutritious foods is far superior to any MRP. In addition MRP's are made frome simple food sources therefore digested & metabolized very quickly which may seem like a good thing but actually it is not. First of all the digestive process of whole foods is very benifitial in increasing all aspects of metabolic function. Secondly fast absorbtion produces a very limited time frame for macronutrient utilization after which the calories are just stored as fat anyway. Finally whole food is soo much more satisfying & far less expensive than MRPs. Basically the bottom line is although it may be more difficult to eat during the day, the benifits are well worth the inconvienence.
