If i buy an mrp like myoplex is that all i need for a protien supplement. Right now I'm trying to gain lean muscle mass.

No, you need whole food. A myoplex is a good supplement and it can be used as a meal replacement sometimes(thus the name), but you need protein from food sources. And you need pure whey isolate post workout. An MRP would be too slow at that time.

you could also use 10 g BCAA's and glutamine post workout in place of the protein drink.
