MRPs come in powder form don't they?...somehow this doesn't sound too healthy though...! surely they're not as good as normal food right?

yes they do. u should take them if u find it hard to get everything u need from just food.

Some are powder and some are liquid, as well as bars.

I never buy the liquid! Only powder. I don't believe liquids hold their potency. Who knows when those were made? I would opt for the powders. And use these only when you can't eat a regular meal.

THe experience I've had with the ready to drink ones has been that they are nasty with slimy things floating in them from time to time. Go with the powders!

bb1's right, I remember reading an article questioning the quality of the protein in the ready-to-drink shakes. I also remember reading something that said not to leave protein shakes in the fridge for too long (even overnight) but . . . I can't remember why not!
