Hi there...just getting back into working out after a few years. I know I need to be taking a good multivitamin to really be successfull. I'm currently using www.fitday.com to track my diet, only on the 2nd day right now so I'm sure I'll have a better idea of what vitamins I need after a week or so. However is there one particular MultiVitamin or brand I should consider taking? Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My suggestions are a good Vit. C(ester will do), Vit. E complex and a B-Complex. A good calcium supplement wouldn't hurt either. These in my opinion are the big 3. You may and will find multi's that include the kitchen sink, but this is really a problem. Many vitamins compete with each other for absorbtion, so having everything in one has never been the best idea in my opinion.

Mega Men from GNC is pretty good stuff, or I guess you could try Flintstone Shaped multivitamins from publix those taste good :)

If you take what bb1fit has advised, consider getting the balance of your vitamins and minerals from natural food sources.

Update...I ended up going with Twin labs - one day capsule thing. I've read a lot on the GNC one though and plan to switch to that after this is done...just wanted to get on something quick cause I knew I was missing a ton of vitamins and minerals.
bb1...did some checking around on these and am curious were you suggesting just 4 different types of vitamins? Would I still be missing out on alot and would I want to still take a multivitamin on top of this to pick up a little of what I'm missing? Just curious and wanted to clarify.

Yep, Carivan has the idea. I was suggesting those as individual supplements(instead of the multi), and good food should get you balanced out.

Makes sense...trying to get my diet worked out so it is in a good balance right now. It's not great but I cut out about 4-6 cokes a day and replaced them with a gallon of water and am slowly learning and experimenting with my diet to find a nice combination...never been a very healthy eater so I'm starting at square one.
Thanks for the great advice guys! Learning more about my body and food then I thought I ever wanted to know.
