hey everyone. im just starting a workout program that i just got here on ft. i was just trying to find out if there are any good muslce building supplements besides creatine. i am trying to build up muscle and lose fat for football and i would appreciate it if anyone could help. thanks!

Not knowing anything about ur training and nutrition schedule, I'll say this:

First and foremost: supplements do just that - they supplement. Don't get caught up in relying on them. You must first eat like a moose and train like a lunatic!

That being said: you may want to think about a blended protein, a weight gainer, glutamine, and a good multi vitamin. Since you're in football, I'd suggest staying away from pro-hormones and stimulants in case you're drug tested.

Ditto on the supplements. You may want to add ZMA to the list.

As far as your training, are you involved in endurance-type training now? I remember we used to run about a mile everyday carrying 20-30 pound dumbbells in each hand before our football practice. Then, we would run up and down our bleachers after practice. We would cool down by doing 1/2 hour of stretching.

These guys pretty much covered it. Man, I couldn't imagine running a mile with a 30 pound dumbbell in each hand, did you guys have your gear on too?

You bet! Of course the quarterback didn't have to carry the heavy weights...but everyone else did.
