Have any of you found a differnece in soreness between upper and lower body? For example, after a tough day of squats I will feel a couple of days soreness. However, after what I consider to be a tough upper body workout, I don't regularly feel soreness in my pecs, shoulders, or arms. Is this an indication I am not training with enough upper body intensity?

Anyone who claims to have the definitive answer doesn't know much, it's one of those issues that's still under debate.
From my experience, soreness does has some kind of relation to improvement. I get the same soreness from squats that you do, a reminder of what a great exercise it is. On other muscles that aren't getting sore, the necessary thing is to start systematically experimenting with different exercises than you're doing now. Don't have any preconceptions that because the book says one thing you have to follow that-just start slowly trying each exercise for a particular muscle and you will find out that there are more effective exercises. It's not likely your intensity. Here's a good list of exercises, try each for a while:

I can say that on my leg day ( which is every friday ) i usually can not bend my knees otherwise i'll flop to the floor ( but then again what im trainning for is a great posing bod ) And also when i do my arms back tris i get good and sore . I always start my routine with 2 warm ups which i can curl for 12 , my last 2 seta are usually maxed , i can usually pull 9 to 11 reps depending if i have increased my weight. but as long as its a good sore you should be fine , also if you are continually doing the same type of regement your muscles will platoe , switch it up a bit to keep your muscles on their toes.
