A while back I posted a thread regarding the huge amount of protein I am eating each day. I typically consume 2 - 3 grams per pound of bodyweight each day. Because of this my cholesterol intake averages several times the recommended daily amount even though I limit myself to lean meats only.
To make a long story short, I recently had my bloodwork done and my totals were OUTSTANDING! I am relieved that all is well but can't understand HOW the levels are perfect despite eating so much cholesterol?
My physician also mentioned that too much protein is not harmful to the average person provided there is no underlying kidney disease. Once again a relief but contradictory to much of what I have read on the web.
I guess I need to take what I read at face value huh?

It is simple. Dietary cholesterol in lean proteins will have little effect on cholesterol levels. It is a fairly simple fact, that those who intake more protein probably consume less of other foods, namely processed foods.

Your PH is also correct. If there is no prior kidney problems, protein will in no way start any. This is an old myth that somehow started. In fact on the plus side, protein increases bone mass, as was somehow thought by mainstream that it ate away at bone mass.

Be careful of what you read on the web. There are "experts" out there in everything. I have been debunking these myths for quite a long time.

It is hard sometimes, I take alot of heat, but it is equally nice when you are proven correct.
