Wow, this has been extremely enlightening. The last few days, I've been tracking my calories/protein/carbs/fats and calculating the % of my diet each of the three comes from.

The last few days I've got:

- 1724 cals: 158g/165g/29g; 41%/42%/17%
- 1520 cals: 127g/207g/23g; 33%/54%/13%

Using 4 cals/g protein and carbs & 9 cals/g fats. My over-riding goal per day is:

- between 1500-1700 cals; 176g/352g/29g for p/c/f
- this equates to approximately 30%/59%/11%

But I've read that it's better to keep fats closer to 15% for metabolism/fat loss. What have you guys heard? And according to FT, I should be eating cals in the 2300 range?! Yikes! Do I sound like I'm doing this correctly? It's with about 6 meals/day, mostly natural & unprocessed.

I love this - it's so interesting to track!

I think the day you got 1724 cals, with close to a 40/40/20 break down is probably a good thing to aim for.

try it for a few weeks and see how you feel.
