Hey guys I have some bad news. My doctor says for me to stop taking creatine and protein shakes and any kind of supplement. I really have a problem with this. I think I am anemic or something like that...my hands are like yellow...he thinks that the protein shakes and creatine might be a problem with this. So it's going to be even harder for me to get my protein. The shakes were an easy way for me to get protein and now my mom doesn't let me drink them anymore...all I want to do is be healthy, that's all I ask for and somethings wrong with my blood or something..

DX, I wouldn't try to address a medical question. Thats why there are doctors. The good news here is that you don't really need creatine supplement at 15.Your body produces plenty of it narurally at that age. As far as the protein supplements, you can make great gains with nothing more than a balanced diet. See if your mom will help you meal plan using the FT nutritional numbers. You can print them up and it makes it pretty easy to eat right. Just work hard, get enough rest and sleep. At 15 your body will do the rest.

Just what I said DX, Nobody here should second guess a doctor. Its fine if you and your parents get another opinion but its usually best to follow doctors orders. Sounds like y'all have a good handle on the solution.

Oh I see Charlie. Of course I'm going to listen to the doctor. I'm not trying to outsmart a doctor lol. But yeah and I think we do have a handle of the solution

The results are in. My doctor isn't sure what is really causing the problem, but he says it's a liver problem. This really sux. He says for me to stop eating lots of protein which means that I can't build muscle! What in the world should I do? I know you need lots of protein to build muscle and I don't want to stop working out or anything, but what would be the use of working out hard and not eating to gain mass? That'll just be a big waste of time. I'm kind depressed about this....

He doesn't want me eating lots of protein, (my doctor) and I don't know how to eat now. I've always just been eating lots of protein and now I just don't want to be eating carbs. Wouldn't this just make me gain weight? I have a question about burning carbohydrates. Do you have to do any physical work to burn carbs, or does your body burn carbs by itself by breathing and creating new blood cells and stuff like that?

all you consume is energy.
the less energy you burn, the fatter you will be.

if you dont make any physical effort, dont need to eat much.
