Hello. I am a 37 yo woman who wants to improve herself. I want to be fitter, stronger and happier. I grew up morbidly obese, weighing 250 pounds in high school. When I was 24 I joined a physcians weightloss program and over the course of a year and a half lost over a hundred pounds. I got married at 29 and weighed 140, but I was a smoker and didnt work out in any kind of structured way. At 34 I was 160, had been off cigarretes for 4 years, and very active biking, mountain biking, kayaking, even ran 2 10k and a bunch of 5k (and run is relative- my run at best is an 11 min pace). Then I became pregnant. Gained only 20 lbs while pregnant, then suffered devastating post-partum depression and gained another 10lbs. Today I am the mother to a beautiful 2 year old princess and I am 5'7 180 lbs. My goal is to gain strength, definition, endurance, flexibility and confidence. Losing inches and pounds is also a goal, but not what I wish to concentrate on. I believe if I concentrate on the first goal while eating healthy the inches and weight will be lost. I hope this site will help me to cater my workouts to achieve maximum success as well as give me motivational support. Thanks!
