Hey everyone, I'm new to FT but have been working out regulary for about a year now. I needed to change up my routine and step up the intensity. FT seems to be just what I'm looking for.

I'm curious why my fitness plan has me doing triceps/biceps twice a week. I'm on the "Weight Loss & Definition Training" program four days a week.

I'm by no means a fitness expert, but it would seem like if I were to work a body part group twice a week, it should be part of the core, like back or shoulders. I actually haven't worked out my biceps in a long time because they got pretty big pretty fast and left me with a lovely case of stretch marks.

Thanks!

Bic's and Tri's are smaller muscles and they recover much quicker then other muscles. Your bic's and tri's will almost be recovered after 3-4 days of training them, so that makes you need to exercise them twice a week sometimes. Your core parts you would want to exercise once a week because back, chest, and especially legs take much more time to heal then the smaller muscles of the body. I personally exercise every muscle once a week on a 4 day split, a lot of people do arms twice though and it helps. Try it for a while, see if it works, if it doesn't change it up.

You are on the "Weight Loss & Definition Training" program, so therefore it's not a "Mass gaining" program that would require a more lengthy rest interval.

how many excercises? I do arm 2times a week.....but only one excercise a day ........if it had you doing 4 sets of bis.....then 3 days later 4 more set of bis....then no......more than likley your doing 2 excercises......each day for each.....which is fine....
