Been working out for roughly a year now.. fairly steady (3-4 days a week for 1+ hours) I've been taking the Myoplex Deluxe for the last year and I'm now starting to wonder how good it actually is. When I started I was around 230 lbs and I'm now a much happier 188. I'm 6'2" by the way. I've abviously slimmed down alot (all fat) and I've toned up quite a bit. But now I'm looking to add more muscle mass on. I'm doing good research into my workout routine.. which is a big part I realize.. but I also wanted to explore my suppliment options. I've tried weight gainers from GNC... wow.. wreaked havoc on my toilet if you know what I mean. Any help would be appriciated and as a new member I look forward to being involved in your community here.

Nice success story drio. Keep up the hard work and eat more, good food of coarse, and you might want to do a cycle of creatine.

An increase in calories is in order for you if want to gain. If you are doing the same diet you did to lose(and great job by the way), you cannot turn around and gain from it. You will have to likely introduce some good complex carbs into your diet, some healthy fats, and of course your required protein. You need to give your body an abundance of nutrients to work from to gain muscle weight. Gaining muscle is really the last thing your body wants to do, so if you don't give it enough nutrients, the something has to suffer, and it will be muscle gain.

Thanks for the input guys. Appriciate it. Any suggestions for favorite weight gaining products? I eat a fairly well rounded diet, and I've increased my diet to slow my weight loss.. which has been showing. Over the last couple months I've gained about 10 lbs of muscle mass. But I think I could use a calorie/weight gainer product to help me along.
Carivan, I did try out creatine for a little while.. but then realized I should REALLY understand the whole cycle process if I were to take it. I'm currently doing more research on that.
My goal isn't to get HUGE. Just a little bulk.. I've got a pretty slender frame naturally. Damn my father's genes..
Thanks again guys

My favorite weight gainers?
Chicken, steak, peanut butter, MRP's
Stay away from anything that says 'weight gainer' on the label.

Hey thanks for the input Mackfactor. I'm starting to see that after doing a little more research. Seems like most of the serious guys round her use suppliments.. but really focus on eating good "real" food. I'm starting to do the same. Lots of good grains.. rice.. and I think I'll need to learn to cook chicken.

Hey drio, if you don't have one now, I would HIGHLY recommend investing in a Foreman grill. I don't know what I would do without mine, I think it has become an essential tool for the bodybuilding and health enthusiast. And yes, nothing can beat good old whole, clean food and lots of it when trying to gain QUALITY weight. Good luck.

Hey that's a damn good idea dahayz. I've been making fun of those things for years.. but I've actually heard very good things about them from people who have them. (I've been spoiled by roomates and girlfriends who would cook for me.. and now I'm living the single life.. and I'm teaching myself to cook bit by bit. Unfortunatly, the things I CAN cook, aren't very healthy... So I feel like I'm starting over again. Thanks for the idea dahayz!
