Hello all, well let me tell you about my situation. I have a 5 month old baby, and recently married. I am in the Navy and am supposed to conform to weight standards but I have the biggest problem getting the motivation to get to the gym. I keep telling myself that Monday I will start a fitness routine, well Monday always comes and goes. I have been going through depression for quite a while but I need to find some sort of motivation, I hate the way I look. Any suggestions? Thanks all...

Hello misty and welcome to ft. The first time is indeed the hardest. I experience the same when I have had a break from doing cardio. I would rather get my ass kicked as get back to it. But I find that once I get past that first one it gets easier. To me motivation comes from achievement and results. The only way to get either is to make yourself go. Try this-plan ahead-clear your schedule for that time-make arrangements for things that might pop up-get your hubby to cover for you-do what you can to eliminate excuses before they happen. Get someone to go with you, anything that will help is fair game. Also plan on rewarding yourself for going. Good Luck. Let us know how your workout went.

I would suggest finding a "motivation partner" to accompany you...hopefully, someone on the same boat (so to speak). Good luck!
