SO, the T-wolves finally made it out of the first round for the first time in franchise history. Does getting past this milestone mean they're gonna win it all? They're my pick, especially since I finally saw them pick it up against sacramento in the fourth quarter. Anyway, they're my pick, who's yours?

watching the way the twolves are handling the sacramento, I might have to take back my predicition of them winning it all, but they still could...

I think Sacramento has more playoff experience, which should help them if they are to beat Minnesota. The Lakers/Spurs series winner will eventually win the NBA title.

In the East, Indiana is the strongest team bar none. However, they don't have an answer for Shaq/Bryant or Duncan/Parker.

After last night's performance, there's no doubt the Lakers will be in the West Finals. The Kings/TWolves series will probably end in 7 games. The Kings get psyched out whenever they play the Lakers. The TWolves, on the other hand, matches up with L.A. pretty well...that should be a good series, if they can get past Sacramento.

LA got so lucky with that shot. I hope they can seal the deal in LA and play the winner of Sac/Min. I don't want to see San Anton in the finals. I hate Ginobli and Parker.

Man some of yall are crazy.....For one thing, the Lakers are gonna win (no matter how much you hate on them) because they have Kobe (UNarguably the best player in the league) and Shaq (the most dominant)and Malone and Payton who are awesome on defense even though they're not in their prime. Minnesota hasn't a chance because they have no answer to Shaq and Kobe is playing well. And if you're gonna say Fisher's buzzer shot was lucky, take a look at Duncan's fadeaway 20 footer BS shot right before it! It's the Lakers' destiny to win. NOONE from the east can beat the lakers either........Detroit and Indiana are having trouble (despite their incredible rosters) closing out the east-THE EAST(also known as the JV league). LAKERS ALL THE WAY

Congrats dani...are you in D-town? That game was pretty good. I kept telling people, all they need is one in LA, then they go to D-town for 3 straight. That'll wrap it up. They can win if they play perfectly. The lakers are old and lazy. Ok, if they're not in colorado court systems, they are old and lazy.

Sure for a bunch of mercenaries.

"America's Team", a dynasty, a collection of great players, sure.

But not YET are they the best team, and perhaps they won't be!

GO PISTONS!!!

...:::doin the snoopy dance around all the LA 'cheerleaders'::::....

:big_smile::big_smile::big_smile::big_smile::big_smile:

I found out too late that they had the NBA and WNBA Championship trophy's and the Stanley Cup all down at the Palace last night, people could get their picture taken with all three, hopefully once Bill owns them all he'll do that again this summer.

..hmmm... maybe tomorrow.

Mitch Albom puts things so well sometimes:

"...So where are we now? Planning a parade route? Chewing our fingernails?

I'll tell you this much. The Pistons should enjoy these next 48 hours. To be on the cusp on doing the ultimate in your sport -- for the first time -- is a feeling most athletes later say never comes again, it is lightning in a bottle, pixie dust in a bag, you are so fully conscious, the best thing in your world is about to happen, but it hasn't happened yet. It is the morning of the last day of school, the drive to the prom, the hotel hallway on your wedding night, all things anticipatory, when everything is possible.

Let them enjoy it. Let them count the minutes until Tuesday night. And let the basketball pundits who thought this thing would be over in five games go back and erase the names they had filled in and switch them when no one is looking.

Meanwhile, Detroit is tingling with an excitement it never expected to feel in this season of weird summer weather..."

Grrr. So the Pistons are only winning because the Lakers decided they'd rather fish?

It looked to me like they played pretty hard, just got beat by a team that played harder and figured out how to shut them down.

It happens, the Wings were amazing in the regular season, finished #1 and of course are still the best to ME, but we don't have the Cup. Playoffs are a different game -- more mental -- and when someone gets your number, they take you out and that's that.

dani is right. Lakers gave it all they had sunday night, and were beaten by a superior team. No excuses. This thing should be over now. Let's not forget that game two should also belong to the pistons. You gotta foul Shaq when they inbound the ball to him out there!!

Malone, Payton, and yes, Horace Grant were three HUGE factors in the lakers' success if they were to win this year. Unfortunately, Malone: hurt, unable to guard Rasheed Wallace. Payton: just plain out didn't show up!! Horace Grant: out for playoffs because of injury (malone's backup who is also a great defender). The Lakers just fell apart. But give credit to Detroit, they came to play!
