Hey all, never posted here before but here it goes.
I don't usually have a set chest routine as I do something new each chest day be it dumbells or start with incline and do flat last.My chest seems to be lacking compared to all my other body parts and its really annoying.I benched around 240 on flat, and about 210 on incline. Most of the time when I bench I start light and work up to my 1rm and have a spotter if needed.
Strength is somewhat getting better, but my chest is still the same size maybe a bit bigger than when I was benching 185 for 1rm.
I also do some cable x overs at the end or some dbell flys,I change it up everday chest day.
Anyone got some 2cents? Id love to hear it :D

Hows your diet? To gain , you have to eat for it. Fill out your profile and tell us about yourself. This helps folks here to help you. Could you be overtraining? Are you getting enough rest ? Are you allowing sufficent recovery time between workouts? How long is a piece of string? Welcome to FT. Good luck with your goals.

Trouble shooting is always a bitch. I have always got good results as far as muscle mass went. Try this, start off with flat bench press, do 135 (bar) 25 reps, go as heavy as you can after that. I bench 275 for 5 reps, take off 20 pounds then bench that for 5 more reps, then I go down to 225 and bench that 8 times, then drop down to 155 and burn that out to failer for 2 sets. Then I move on to flat bench flyies. I go high reps on flyies and rest 30 seconds between sets. I count to 30 then start my next set, 5 sets total. I train chest every other day for best results. You can't do this type of training for long, you just simply burn out but great for mass.

wel hows ur form? i mean i have seen alot of dorking guys with smal chest that can bench more than me, but they have shitty form, they arch there back, the bar not controlled it hits thw rack all the time, i have to run over and make sure they can get the weight up and over the rack. i work out by myself and ijust worry about the rep i can dowith out a spot( all by myself) i think most people depend too much on a spotter, i mean its cool if u need a lil help on the last rep or so, but somany times the spoter is getting the workout and not the person doing the lift, i go for 100% or my reps everytime by myself, i don't go over 225lbs much either but o well, i have a bigger chest and arms than the guys that bench more than me with crappy form......but when i do get a spot i can go and go and go on chest lol last " streght routine i was on i could do 225lbs for 13 reps no spot no help at all so try going for reps and not the weight always
heres some good form pointers
*never arch ur back it takes all the stress off the chest
*if ur not getting 75 to 80 percet of the reps by ur self u got to much weight( if u doing 10 reps u should get 7 or 8 all by ur self)
*DON'T BOUNCE THE BAR OFF UR CHEST this is cheating if u going for the 1000 lb bench press do what u must but ur trying to train a muscle group not set a record
*do bench one every 4 days at the most
