So I used to work out about 4 or 5 times per week about 2 or 3 years ago. It was my first time at the gym and I noticed some results fairly fast. Unfortunately I went away to school and ran out of money and my diet changed to Kraft Dinner and Hot Dogs.
I'm now out of school but still incredibly poor! I've looked at all of the recommended foods but I'm having trouble keeping grocery costs low. I'm back in the gym and wanting to hit about 3000 calories/day but finding that extremely difficult.
Any suggestions on how to cut costs or maybe a supplement I could take to help out with those extra needed calories?
Thanks!

Peanut butter, tuna, chicken breasts, all sorts of pasta, oats, sweet potatoes....on and on and on. I ilke to buy a whole bunch of cans of beans and make a huge pot of bean soup, pretty cheap too.
Protein powder may seem expensive at first, but if you break it down per meal it is actually very cheap. Get a big thing and Sams club or Costco if price is a huge issue.
There are a lot of options that are calorie dense, it comes down to dedication and your own decisions. Don't use money as an excuse because it isn't.

'overpriced nutrition' is the thread.

Alright I'll check that out.
I know money shouldn't be an issue but in my case it really is. I only spend money on rent, OSAP payments and groceries and I barely break even every month.
Why oh why did I spend so much on my education!?
