Hey everyone! I am new to free trainers and hope this website becomes a daily visit for me.

I am 22 years old, overweight, and finally have decided I need to change what I put into my body, and ultimately what I look like. I am 5'11", about 270 lbs. I do not exercise and have always eaten badly. My goal is to be average weight (270-280lbs), eat healthy, exercise regularly, and have more energy! I understand this is a very difficult goal to attain and will not come easy or quickly, but at this rate I will probably die of a heart attack at 50.

The problem that I have always had, besides the normal 'addiction' to food is that I do not enjoy healthy food. My diet consists of meat, cheese, bread, pasta, and some snacks. I am not a big candy eater or dessert. I do not like anything green, I have tried many foods and (probably psychologically) I do not like any vegetables. The only fruit I like are apples. This has restricted my diet so much over my lifetime and is frankly quite embarrassing when ordering meals with friends.

I sometimes want to see a nutritionist to build a diet plan that I can work with, but I am much more the internet forum-type person. I feel much more comfortable doing things on my own, especially things that I believe are my fault and my responsibility to fix, but I do need some help.

I need smart people like all of you that are educated with nutrition and specific food groups to tell me what to eat, and if you have time, why :) I need a diet plan! something that is realistic (even though I would rather run 100mph at this and fast for a month as per my style of doing things). My parents try to help me by telling me to "eat wheat bread", "eat smaller portions" ect... but those tips just don't help someone like me who needs a schedule to follow to realistically conquer this behavior.

Even if you do not post or help create a plan for me, I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my problem!
Cheers, Brad
