Hi, I am 17, nearly 18(in a couple mos). I'm relatively strong, have never lifted, weigh about 225 and am 5'10".
My question is, how many lbs should I start with? loke, 15 lb free-weights and machine, or what? I am joining a gym, and would love any input.

Derek, welcome here. First thing fill out your profile or nobody will want to help you. Makes it harder if you know what I mean. Second you will have to experiment to find the right amount of weight. If you're joining a gym, you should look at the available FT workouts, pick the one that meets your goals , print out the first 2 weeks and take it to the gym. There will be people in most gyms who'll be happy to help you get the proper form down. Also on the exercise page you can click on the exercise and a description and picture of each one will pop up. Eat clean and get your rest.
