I have been working out in the morning for years. I find it so much better, when you work out in the evening, there are many things that can happen to give you a reason not to do it. But, if you just go in in the morning, you do it and it is over with. The really nice thing I like also is that you have much more time to recouperate, more meals to nourish the hard working muscles you just tortured. I feel it is better recovery time. Good luck to you...I think once you get used to it, you will like it. The gym is usually less crowded also.-------------- If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.... |

evertime I work out, morning or night and I don't feel like it I look at my wall. There I have a poster that has every Mr. olympia on it.....when I look at it and see al the hard work they put into there body, and how much sacrafice they went through that gets me pumped-------------- ---andrew.......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! I love working out in the Morning, I just have more energy for the day and better sleep at night. One thing I have done is place a picture of the old me on my fridge and when I look at it I have say to my self, every day in everyway, I am getting better and better with each day, kind of a connotation to psych myself up.
Best of luck & stay with it, fitness changes your life in more than just your appearance. |

Get an early night! When I've had eight hours sleep, I know I have no excuse not to get up for my workout in the morning.

I have always worked out in the morning. It's done, no excuses. What ever time you work out you always have a group of people who are there at the same time. Once you become a "regular" at a certain time it creates a comfort zone. And you already know that once your "in' you have to account for your whereabouts if you miss workouts! So make some friends in the morning!

Augh - I'm the opposite. I LOVE morning workouts. Two weeks ago I switched to afternoons and I've made ONE - yes ONE workout in TWO WEEKS! How did you keep yourself workingout in the afternoon?-------------- ~~~~~~~ROXIE~~~~~~~ http://www.mycoffeegirl.com |

Roxie, you and I need to change places!!!! I love after- noon and night workouts. I have a slow wake up, get done what I need to do that day, pack my food, eat, then off to the gym hot shower following, then off to work. A little down time following. You don't ever wake up to a alarm clock so your body gets all the rest it needs. I found it a very relaxing lifestyle. And no one was ever in the gym.

I'm probably one of the very few 16 year olds in the world that works out for the health (not for school sports, etc., especially at 5:00 in the morning! I have found that it just makes me happier, I can't get to school unless I hit the gym first. It just makes me feel like I can take on anything that day. Whenever I wake up after the sun has risen I feel like I've missed so much! I don't know every aspect of it is great.

I do because it's my only guaranteed chance, with the kids in school. Trust me, I Despise the mornings..But, I do notice that once i get it done, I feel wonderful all day. And like the others said, If I plan it for the evening. It won't get done.
Plus, Ive noticed at my gym,it's less busy in the morning. Less waitng for machines. THats worth it in itself. -------------- It is no fun to be normal!!! |

Morning workouts: Ive done all times and honestly the morning ones are the ones that get me going for the day. Once Im in the gym Im focused and feel ready to bust azzzzzz which pumps me up for my day. It also depending on what Im doing in the morning...gets the breakfast thing going on. So I begin eating properly for my day. Mostly the best thing is its working. As many above said you get it done. It stays with you throughout the day. So if you thought maybe youd eat something you shouldnt you do think about that morning rise :surprised:

I agree with cc
if I don`t feel like getting up I imagine how bad i will feel during the day that I didn`t go and won`t be able to go in the morning. Also, I like that the gym is sooooo empty in the morning. |
