i am pretty new to all of this, i am 22 years old and in the U.S. Navy (submarines) while im out i dont have much to work with mostly free weights. My rutine is usually bench, curls, sholders, and triceps. 2 years ago i had total reconstruction on my righ knee, ever since then i have been afraid to do any real ligting with my legs. I run 3 to 4 times a week and hit the weights 4 to 5 times a week. i have been hitting it hard for 3 to 4 months now and have noticed a change. I have tried some suplaments but just am not sure what works best. I would like to get ripped and dont really know the best way. I am the type of person who will continue to do something until i get what i like or hurt myself trying but i dont really want to hurt myself. Sorry this is long, i guess my real question is how do i get real noticable results fast and do i need suplaments? if so whats the best suplament to use?

Take a look under the nutrition forum.
Normal food will be enough in the start, then later (after 3-6 months) start with protein powder. A vitamine pill could do wonders as well.
Otherwise work with HIGH INTENSITY AND PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD (and get your beautysleep!!) and you'll get fast results.
Good luck!

Philia is right. First and foremost you have to have the right diet, or else forget about any kind of real results. Second make sure your training is right. If you're looking to get ripped but not bulky, keep your reps around the 8-12 range. And rest is very important. Your body grows while you are resting and your muscles have a chance to recover from your workout. As she said, take a good multivitamin as well. Do all this and you should see your results.
