Need to know about an exercise

I've just started and I'm on week 1. And on the Back and Shoulders work out day one of my exercise's is Wide Grip Chins to Front. But I have no access to a chin up bar and I also can't even do 1 chin-up. I was wondering what would be a good substitution exercise for wide grip chin ups?

Lat Pull Down, it's just like wide grip chins but you control the weight that your pulling down rather than pulling your self up.
