ft says 218g. for protein, 435g. for carbs, 35g. for fat with a total of 2,898 calories. is this right for wanting to lose weight? |

I would lower the carbs to about 225. The carb #'s seem high. And remember to excersise and take a good multi-vitamin. Also eat well and remember exercise will speed up the weight loss and give you a nice look! -------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Fill out your profile, start one of the great exercise routines in here, eat clean and get your rest.Hmmm I don't know how the nutrition program works in here but your total needs seem a little high. You need to find out your calorie needs. I don't have the excact adress but I know that on the Hausman site you can find a good online calculator. And if I remember right then somebody in here once wrote a brilliant post about the same subject. Do a search and maybe you'll find. not to get personal... but if you are breast feeding than you will have different nutritional requirements, I don't know if thy post them in the ft nutrition guide or not. i only say this because a friend of mine was really wearing herself out because she was trying to loose the baby weight and breast feeding, the child was literally sucking the life out of her. |

All the requirements there were high. I would shoot for closer to 2300 calories, keeping protein around 200g, carbs around 200g or less, and fat around 65g. Those are just general guides, however.-------------- "Don't follow leaders and watch your parking meters!" -- Bob Dylan |

Can't spot reduce, ladies. You can encourage fat loss around your legs, abs, thighs, and buttocks by muscle-specific exercises, but you'll lose the fat equally. In fact, most people lose the fat around their faces first, and a lot of women lose fat in their breasts first.

I was 78kgs and got it down to 67 in 2 months. This is what I did. I detailed it out in this post. My diet and the way of life described.
http://404phylenotfound.blogspot.com/2008/03/how-can-one-cut-down-his-weight-by-10.html Believe me it is not difficult at all..everyone can do it. Only in cases of hereditary/genetically acquired then might need medicines |
