I am new to this site. I have about 100 punds to lose and am not feeling motivated. However I have young children and need to get into shape in order to deal with them on a daily basis. Any help or pointers would be great.
thanks

yes....it's really hard at first....so much new information comes flyin at you from left and right....some of the best advice I ever got was from this site...and their so simple..."Just Do It"..and "less calories in more calories out"....it's not as bad as it may at first seem...keep it simple at first...you know whats good for you and whats not,get an idea of what a portion really should be...and sign up for one of the programs right here on this site...you can print them up and take them to the gym with you...it gives you the number of reps to shoot for and there is a description on how to do all of the exercises....the worst thing you could do is put yourself at a stand still because you can't figure out how to move forward....don't try and learn it all in one day...have fun susan...I think you'll like it here:)

Welcome aboard Skinny Susan. Since you have a gym membership, why not talk to one of thier Personal trainers, or do a program from here like KC suggested. You might also want to read a book called "Body for Life" which would be a good starting point for you. Talks about exercise and foods to eat.
Thats what got me going.
Good luck.

Thanks Carivan. I have read and done the BFL diet and exercise program. Actually was getting good results. But fell off the wagon.

When one wants to acheive results, the whole thing has to become a lifestyle. It can't be temporary and hope to keep the same profile.
