So what do you guys think of the new all natural 7up as a source of carbs and sugar after a hard workout and after my protein shake of course?

it's utter CRAP

beware that to put 'all natural' the company has to fulfill some misleading criteria set by the FDA....like having all ingredients readily available in nature...however they can make synthetic versions in the lab...

7 Up - "Now 100% Natural"

By removing calcium disodium EDTA (a flavor preservative), the new lemon-lime 7-Up is replaced with "natural flavors". We can find five ingredients on its ingredient list: filtered carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, natural citric acid, natural flavors and natural potassium citrate.
Is "Natural" better?

Possibly. But will you pour 15 tsp of natural sugar in your bottled water?

It is disappointing to find that the new 7-Up still contains 240 kcal per bottle. In the end, the new 7-Up is still a soft drink. In other words, it is still a bottle of sweetened water. The dietary guidelines recommend that we limit added sugars to about 8 tsp a day for an average 2000-calorie diet. One 20 oz bottle of the new 7-Up contains more than 15 tsp!

Hold out for the soon to be released "New and Improved 7-Up"...it'll have no sugar, but loaded with cancer fighting ingredients like Aspertame.:laugh:

I understand all that but I keep hearing I need an insulin spike immediately after my workout and I have to replace my carbs which my protein shake does not do. I've read that eating processed foods after a workout like two low fat muffins or even a couple of cookies is perfect so I figured why wouldn't a can of 7up (not a 20oz bottle) be just as good besides the lack of any actual nutrients of course, but I figure I get that from my protein shake. And by the way you're gonna get cancer no matter what these days. I mean think about the underground nuclear testing that went on back in the 70's and all the satellites above our heads constantly beaming down on us. My dad has been eating healthy forever and has worked out all his life and he doesn't touch anything with aspartame trust me and he is now recovering from thyroid cancer and cancer in his lymph nodes. My aunt who is 32 recently got her breast removed because of breast cancer. I'm definitely not trying to be an advocate of aspartame but I think there are much scarier things.
