Hello....my name is Danny. Im new here and have some questions. Currently, I've reached a plateau in my strength. I am 17 yrs old. I am 6' tall and weigh about 175. I bench 285, squat 455, and deadlift 370. I work out 4 days a week every week. Ive been doing this for about a year now. Yet for the last 2 months I have not gotten any stronger. No matter how hard I work. Im not on any suppliments. What should I do? Would taking a break benifit me at all even though i do nothing physical for 3 days out of every week? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks again,
Danny

you might want to take a 2 week break in case you have over trained. I've hit quite a few plateaus like you state, and that sometimes helps along with mixing up my routine/exercises. I've even tried changing up from 3 sets to 1 long set with short rests. 1 rep, 1 sec pause, 2 rep, 2 sec pause, all the way to 10 reps, and then jump to another exercise after I've rested of course. good luck and welcome to the forum.

Creatine can help you be more explosive and holds more water weight in your muscles giving you the appearance of being bigger, however when I cycled off of it, I found myself getting discouraged because of the lose of water weight/pump of the muscles.
I've tried various protien shakes, but for the most part I've settled on Apex or CNC just for the taste more than anything.
Maybe someone really into the supplements will be able to give you a better opinion than me though.
I've tried to stay away from most of them, because honestly I don't trust alot of them personally. Either way, I wish you luck.

Thanks for your help man. I'm willing to try just about anything at this point. These last few days it feels like I'm getting weaker. I'll give it a shot. Uve been a great help. Thanks again.
