I just started getting serious about my fitness level and wanting to change my body. I would love to talk to some other people who have been where i am. I have 3 children and a very busy life but i have decided to make myself one of my priorities...finally!

I don't think any man is qualified to answer your questions but you made the first step by deciding to set some goals. :)Welcome to the site.

Hey Mike...don't sell us guys so short. I'm kinda qualified.

As Rob Schneider would say in an Adam Sandler movie "You can doo eet".

Last march I pretty much came to the same conclusion though. It took a lot of effort and commitment from not only me, but even from my family to permit me to change the foods we keep around the house as well as take the time for myself to get into the gym. Your profile doesn't say whether your married or not so I don't know if you have a second adult around the house to give you a helping hand (looks like the Teenagers could do that job though for you), but that was a big help for me as I'm out of the house by 5AM and in the gym and she gets the kid's up for the day and off to school, in exchange I cook dinner every evening and do most of the cleanup as well...that way I get to the gym and get to pick what we eat.

Just remember that a diet won't get you to where you want to be it's a lifestyle change. This last week I saw a huge influx of traffic at my gym and in less then 3 days it's already cut in half. Don't be one of those people.

There's some great people on this site and lots of terrific information. Hang around and learn all you can.

I agree wholeheartedly with sstump1, at the gym I go to, the trainer said that immediately after New Years the memberships skyrocket, within days it dwindles daily, when I go in the fall there is hardly a soul there!!

Hang in there and keep coming to FT to post your progress, goals and learn from these awesome people!
