I am new here. My name is Althea, 32, married, mother of 1 stepmother of 3. I am 5 feet, 4 inches and i am 214 pounds. I had started working on loosing weight a few weeks ago and lost 15 pounds mostly from stress i think. Anyway, i am fed up of being fat. I want to loose weight. Any tips, suggestions would really help.
My two suggestions are get on your diet, and get active. And when I say "get on your diet" I really mean take a serious look and start counting calories. The main reason we gain weight is because we take in more calories than we burn throughout the day. For you, I'd suggest starting around 1700-1800 calories a day.
As far as activity goes, anything physical would be a good starting point, but ideally beginning both a strength training and cardio routine would be ideal.
