Well hello to all, here I am taking the first steps to my weight lose goals!! I am 25, 5ft 7in and weighing the same weight that I was the day I delivered my son.....200lbs. My son is now 4 years old, so I can no longer say this is baby fat....this is LAZY FAT!! I am a stay at ome mom, so I have plenty of time to work out and walk/jog, but I am really lazy and have no motivation. I am hoping to find the motivation needed by joining up here. I am looking forward to meeting new people as well.

I'm new too, but congrats to you on taking the firs step! I didn't start working out until I was 38 because I am also a stay at home mom and didn't have the time. It is a big job taking care of a house, kids, husband, pets and cooking! Maybe you have parents you take care of too. My biggest advices is to start slowly and don't burn yourself out. I started walking 3 miles a day and slowly added some jogging. It took me over 6 months to go from walking to running (and I was barely running, but who cares). I now can run 6-8 miles/day and have done several 5K's. Next year I hope to do my 1st min marathon...see this took me almost 6 years to get to. But I can tell you I have no regrets for the time I spent with my kids! I also started doing weight lifting. I started with just the bars...no weights on them, and now I can do pretty fair amounts of weight. If you can find an exercise buddy, that would be great...I had one and on the days I didn't want to go, I felt obligated to go because she was depending on me. I even trained on of my next door neighbors to do her firs ever 5k. We walked ran and talked...never really noticed how tired we were until we were done! Good like and remeber you have a life time to reach your goals...so don't feel bad to take small steps...goin to far too fast will burn you out and make you hate exercising. Best of Luck!:dumbbell:

Thanks for the advise! Unfortunately the only person I know in this area lives over an hour away, but when we do get together we eat healthy and walk (when the kids and hubbies allow it). Besides that I have been walking 3 miles a day and add a little bit of jogging in....not much though. I am terribly out of shape and I have an old knee injury. But I do not want that to slow me down too much. I want to be at least 150# by Sept. 22. That is my 5 year wedding anniversary.
