I have tried it all from fad diets to every weight loss pill available. I have been thru purging, binging, cutting out fast food, sugars and caffeeine to eating nothign but salads....nothign is working i can never seem to lose and when i do i cant seem to keep it off...I want to lose weight and stop the issue that 'if i eat i get fat'. It all started after my 2 wonderful children...i went from a fabulous 125 to 180 now i bounce between 180 and 185 I hate it. I am hoping to do this right and go back down to at least 135
For me loosing and keeping it off was a life style change. It takes dicipline. I absolutely have to excercise regularly for me to have any chance to loose weight. I weight train 5 days a week and do a minimum of 3 days of cardio for 30 minutes. For me I have to know how many calories a day is maintenance so I can cut 500 or so a day with a goal of loosing about 1 lb of fat a week. Of course gaining muscle often offsets the weight loss but in the long run speeds up my metabolic rate which will increase daily calorie use for energy. Hope that helps.
