Hello everyone I'm new here so here's a little about me. I'm 28 and a mom of 2, I've never had trouble with my weight until after my 2nd pregnancy. I started at 146lbs in Jan 07 and have (very slowly) lost 10 lbs so far. Unfortunatly my youngest, now 2, doesn't like to be in the daycare at my gym for mor then 15 min so, it's been difficult. But I am determined. I'd like to get there 4x a week! Any and all support is welcomed with open arms because I've been a bit discouraged lateley! Thanks!

Hang in there Cessie. Is there another time that you can get to the gym where you don't have to take your 2 year old with you? I also have a 2 year old (and a 7 year old). I can't take them to the gym either, so I go in at 4:30 in the morning before hubby and I go to work. Just a thought. If nothing else, there are some great home workouts on here, and dont forget that you can always buckle your little one into a jogging stroller and go for a brisk walk too. Good luck!

They're 2!!! They shouldn't have a choice of the length of time they stay in the daycare. Put your foot down and get your workout in!! After all, whether they know it or not, you are doing you AND them a service!!
And before I get bashed, yes, I have kids!!!

oh trust me if it were up to me he'd stay there, but the girls at the daycare won't let him cry for longer then 15 min before they call the parents on the speaker...oh well.

How funny. We JUST had a leadership/upper management seminar yesterday in the office on how to motivate your team, etc. They were talking about how the Gen Xer's today (general statement, NOT everyone)hop jobs, and don't appreciate what they have, expect their employers to thank them every time they turn the corner, etc. They believe this all falls back on the parents who are saying "It's ok. If you are uncomfortable, you dont have to do it anymore" where as past generations would say "If you don't like it, tough s***!" or new generations say "You can do anything you want, and be anything you want to be. You just have to apply yourself and try your best", where as past generations said "Get off your lazy butt, do your homework or your not playing with your friends for a month!" I think there's a lot of truth to it!
And before I get bashed, I also have 2 kids, and just thanked my son last week for doing his homework! oops! ;)
(sorry for getting off the tread topic)
