I officially start my diet and workout routine tomorrow after gaining 40 pounds from the depo provera shot and its been rough to take off. Any adivce for this newbie when it comes to workout and nutrition?

Welcome here. Start kind of slow. It's easy to over do, get sore and quit. Learn to count calories and try to pick routines you enjoy. You're more likely to keep going. Use the sight for encouragement. A lot of people keep a fitness log. That would be a flog here. Look through the flogs and see what others are doing. Ask questions.
