Hey yall,
I'm new here. My goal is to basically put on some muscle. I'm 18 and I weight about 138 pounds. I started a program here for 2 days a week. I have access to a gym on tuesdays and thursdays via my school, so thats why I chose the two day program but I also am willing and want to work out at home as well, at home I currently have a bench press table and a 20 lb dumbell. I have been using the 20lb dumbell for my biceps for about 3 months now but I dont think that its making to much of a difference now the 20lb's seem pretty light, and It takes a long while to feel a burn now.
I have changed my diet a little the thing with me is that I have real high metabolism and I dont eat that much. I now eat lunch everyday something I didnt do before.
But I am open to eny suggestions that could help my in my quest as I am a beginner in all of this, thanks

Hi Parker9,
Welcome aboard. I'll leave it to the experts to guide you on the fitness routine since I'm a beginner as well. But, it's a great site and there's toms of info you'll find if you snoop around a bit. Good luck and keep us posted.

Welcome Parker9! This is a really good site! Have you went through the process of getting your exercise routine? if not, that might be a great start, it will take you through a series of questions. Also you can post questions in the beginners weightlifting forum as well. There are some great articles in there to read up on if you are just starting out. good luck!

Well you first need to get more weight and use it. the fact that you have been using the same weight for so long is one reason why you have stalled. The next is with a fast meatabolism you need to be eating a lot more. A lot!

Well it's been about two weeks since I started the workout program, and obviously the results are not really obvious yet, but I have gained 2 lbs, but the real effect I am getting from this is just feeling better about myself I feel more confident. I will stick to this and see how it goes, again if anyone has any pointers suggestions etc. I'm all ears.
