Hi everyone I'm from Ontario, Canada. I'm a new member here and need some questions answered. I recently started excerising a couple of weeks ago. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks doing cardio mostly running for an hour and a half everyday of the week. Didn't do any weight training and I really didn't have a set meal plan for each day. I will be starting a controlled plan tomorrow or next Monday depending how fast I get my answers. I will be doing the Losing Weight and Toning Body plan for the next 8-12 weeks, this will includ cardio, weight training and proper eating.

205 lbs (aprox. 25 lbs overweight, grrr,)
Workout everyday of the week

Questions

Should I eat 5 or 6 meals a day?
Should I eat a protein or carbohydrate meal pre or post workout?
At what interval should I eat each meal?
Is working out 7 days a week over doing it?

I know this is kinda long but thank you in advance to all of you who read this and answered it. Looking forward to some great info and tips.

Welcome to FT...

1) Five or six small meals is good...
2) Check in the Nutritional section... lots of discussion about this one...
3) Each meal should be two to three hours apart... also depends on your schedule though, I think...
4) I think seven days working out is over doing it... that is if it's with weight... the suggested practise here, though (although that is debated heavily too) is to do cardio on off weight days.... or, if you have no choice, separate cardio and weights by about six hours... if you can't and you have to do weights and cardio in the same session, do the weights first, then finish with the cardio...

There is a sticky regarding the cardio question on one of the boards (can't remember which one right now though)....
