I'm finally serious about losing weight and getting in shape.I lost 20 pounds in 2003 through diet and excercise but I had a excercise buddy then.I gained back the 20 pounds last year by eating all the wrong foods.I have changed my eating habits(modified eating habits and slimfast) over the last month and have lost about 5 pounds but i haven't seen any real change in my body.I have signed up for the at home exceercise plan and the 12 week abdominal plan. I have printed out my first day workout that includes pushups,side laterals,chinups,curls,dips behind back,home squats and calf raises.I'm on a 3 day workout plan.I read on the fitness page plan that cardio activity is also necessary.My questions are:
1)Do i do the cardio activity and workout on the same day or on the rest days?
2)What days do i do the abdominal excercises?
3)Should i start taking vitamins?

1)If you're able to split your training up and do cardio on one day and weights on another then that would be ideal. However not a necessity if you are strapped for time.
2)I believe your program will tell you what days to do the ab workout...mine is all 3 days of my routine.
3)Definately get you a multi-vitamin. Your body needs it.
Also I would recommend dropping the Slim fast...while it works it's not necessary and you can get you a protein shake mix (5lbs for $25 that'll last you a month) to use as a meal replacement. Try to get get 5-6 minimeals a day to rev up your metabolism, for weight loss high protein diet is ideal. Try to get 40/40/20 (protein/carbs/fat) %ages.
